Donna Marina Colonna dei Principi di Paliano comes from a historic Roman patrician family, one of the most ancient documented in Rome and one of the most important during the Middle Ages and the Italian Renaissance.
A degree in architecture and a great interest in economic sciences have granted her a long and successful career at the Federico II University in Naples.
Thanks to her great passion for history, arts and culture, she founded with her husband Prof. Paolo Amalfitano, the Sigismondo Malatesta Association that has had its official headquarters since 1988 in the Rocca Malatestiana. Since 2012 he has been the President of the Italian Historic Houses Association (A.D.S.I.) – Campania Section and, since 2016, the National Vice President. Since December 2014 he has been responsible for the Ezio De Felice Cultural Foundation in Naples, a centre for studies and research on Museography, Restoration and Landscape Protection.
